Fashionista on a Budget

How many of you have been shopping at the mall or online and come across the cutest top you have ever seen just to find out it costs $50+.  Perhaps when we all start making $80 thousand a year…we can dish out that kind of money, but especially not now when we are students.  I don’t know about you, but I feel guilty spending more than $30 on anything even if it an essential.  This is how I decided to start creating my own unique clothing for a price I could definitely afford.  All it took was an old t-shirt I had lying around that I never seemed to wear and some scrap fabric I had lying around and well I guess a little sewing skills as well. So if you have some old shirts or tanks lying around let me turn them into that cute top you saw at the mall.

My goal is to provide one-of-a-kind tops for the fashionista on a budget.  All you need to do is give me an old top or tank and I’ll do the rest. Below are a

few other shirts I have created. I am always coming up with new ideas so each shirt is unique! Let me know what you think of these and If you are interested in a new top!

Please let me know what you think!

I typed in fashionista on Urban Dictionary and this is what they had to say….

A person devoted to fashion clothing, particularily unique or

high fashion.
A person not to be called a fashionista would be someone who obsessivly follows trends. REAL fashionistas do not believe in trends
.
That type of person would be more correctly labeled a fashion whore or a shallow bitch.

Fashion in Progress

The reason for this post is to get some comments, opinions, and the like on my new idea. My friend an I were messing around with some old t-shirts and scissors this summer trying to make some of our old, worn out clothes into something wearable. Our first attempts weren’t very impressive but it gave us some cute ideas. A week or so later my friend saw this cute shirt online and asked me if we could try and duplicate it. Well as you can see from the picture I think it turned out pretty well. My friend wore the shirt and got a lot of compliments on it and people were asking her where she got the shirt.
This is where I need your help…
I was wondering if you could let me know first of all if you would consider buying something like this and if so.. how much would you spend? what colors would you like to see? or anything else you can think of. But mostly be honest. I really want to know what you think….
